LED DESCRIPTION USER’S MANUAL AND MAINTENANCE Each LED on the PLC (Fig. 17a) is programmed to display the status of a digital input or of a command output. Pos. 1 (L0): Piece entry (illuminates when a piece enters the machine); Pos. 2 (L1): Illuminates when the glue is heating up; Pos. 3 (L2): Illuminates when the machine is ready to use; Pos. 4 (L3): Illuminates when the edge is being cut; Pos. 5 (L4): Illuminates when the head end-trimming machine cuts any excess edging from the panel head; Pos. 6 (L5): Illuminates when the head end-trimming machine cuts any excess edging from the panel tail; Pos. 7 (L6): Illuminates when the blowing units are enabled. In addition to controlling temperature, the instrument instrume is also fitted with a stand-by function. The operator can set an idling time for when the mac machine is not in use; once this time is up, the temperature of the glue tray drops to a constant value, which can also be set by the operator. This enables the properties of the glue to be maintained for longer. SETTINGS: (see Fig. 17) Press key “F1” (3) to display the glue temperature sset point (a parameter that can be modified with the arrow keys). Press key “F1” (3) again to display the idling time set point (set value of the glue temperature). Once the idling time set by the operator has passed without a panel entering the machine, the stand-by function cuts-in automatically and the glue temperature will go to the value set on “time xxx”.
