USER’S MANUAL AND MAINTENANCE 03 EDGE LOADER ADJUSTMENTS ACCESSORY N. 03 A03. 01 DESCRIPTION AND GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS This SMART edge-bander, model S1 ECO, does not need to be set with an edge type because it is only designed for the application of ROLLED EDGES THAT ARE 0.4 mm – 3 mm THICK. To load the edge, see the procedure described in paragraph A03.6. For the rest of the models in this range follow the instructions below: The machine is equipped with four programmes situated on the control panel that set 4 ways of functioning, each according to the type type of edge to use. The positions are: are: 1 (A) SOLID WOOD (Min 1mm – Max 8mm) 2 (B) STRIPS (Min 0,4mm – Max 1mm) 3 (C) ROLL (Min 0,4mm – Max 1mm) 4 (D) PVC ROLL (Min 0,4mm – Max 3mm) A03. 02 POSITION 1 LISTS Pic. 1 Rev 1-03/07 A03-1
USER’S MANUAL AND MAINTENANCE Select programme A (Fig. 1) if pre-cut solid wood edges over 2 mm thick are to be used. With reference to picture 2 do as follows: 1 Open the small protection box; 2 Remove the ratchets that guide the rolled edge (A); 3 Move the edge return unit (B) by the removing screw (B1) from the base plate and then fasten the unit to the structure (as shown in the diagram); 4 Remove the pin (C) from the inner edge-guide block 5 If ACCESSORY 05 (automatic loader) is installed, turn the knob (D) to the thick strips position (PR.1); Now, following the indications of picture 3, you can finish the setting up of the machine: 6 use the knob (F) to regulate the position of the plate (E) which prevents more than one edge passing at a time.
