…+부터 …+까지 ‘from… till…’<br />

UNIT 6 몇 시에 만날까요?<br />

When we want to show a starting point in time, we add the particle +부터 to<br />

the starting time. For the finishing time we add +까지.<br />

Time Word+부터 Time Word+까지<br />

(1) A: 오늘 오후에 수업 있어요? Do you have a class this afternoon?<br />

B: 네. 두 시부터 네 시까지<br />

한국어 수업 있어요.<br />

Yes. I’ve a Korean class from 2<br />

until 4.<br />

(2) A: 시험 언제 있어요? When do you have exams?<br />

B: 내일부터 모레까지 있어요. From tomorrow till the day after<br />

tomorrow.<br />

(3) A: 어제 뭐 했어요? What did you do yesterday?<br />

B: 아침부터 저녁까지<br />

하루종일 테레비 봤어요.*<br />

I watch<strong>ed</strong> TV all day from the<br />

morning till the evening.<br />

(The standard word for television is 텔레비전 but often in conversation<br />

테레비 or 티비 is us<strong>ed</strong>. 봤어요 is the past tense form of 봐요.)<br />

(4) A: 탈춤 공연 언제 있어요? When are the mask dance<br />

B: 다음 주 월요일부터<br />

수요일까지예요.<br />
