…+부터 …+까지 ‘from… till…’
UNIT 6 몇 시에 만날까요?
When we want to show a starting point in time, we add the particle +부터 to
the starting time. For the finishing time we add +까지.
Time Word+부터 Time Word+까지
(1) A: 오늘 오후에 수업 있어요? Do you have a class this afternoon?
B: 네. 두 시부터 네 시까지
한국어 수업 있어요.
Yes. I’ve a Korean class from 2
until 4.
(2) A: 시험 언제 있어요? When do you have exams?
B: 내일부터 모레까지 있어요. From tomorrow till the day after
tomorrow.
(3) A: 어제 뭐 했어요? What did you do yesterday?
B: 아침부터 저녁까지
하루종일 테레비 봤어요.*
I watched TV all day from the
morning till the evening.
(The standard word for television is 텔레비전 but often in conversation
테레비 or 티비 is used. 봤어요 is the past tense form of 봐요.)
(4) A: 탈춤 공연 언제 있어요? When are the mask dance
B: 다음 주 월요일부터
수요일까지예요.
