의붓 in front of the corresponding kinship terms. For example, 의붓 오빠 is a
girl’s older stepbrother. To specify half-siblings, you would add the term
이복 instead: 이복 오빠, 이복 동생. However, both these terms have a
negative connotation in Korea as divorce continues to be stigmatized, despite
becoming increasingly common.
