Review these steps needed before you proceed to the next
patient evaluation:
1. Know the contents of dental material.
2. Understand that everything has energy.
3. Understand the Teeth and Body Energy chart. Remember
this chart is to remind us that each tooth is much more
than just a hard surface in the oral cavity.
4. Limit yourself to those conductance points and organ
systems related to the oral cavity, tonsils, and sinuses.
Every manufacturer of the CEDS biofeedback instrument
conducts classes on its use, for example, the pressure needed on
the conductance points for consistent readings and the location
of these specific conductance points. Practice will give you a
consistency of readings, and confidence in positioning the probe
on the conductance points.
Health professionals can appreciate Dr. Voll's description of
the indicator drop related to problems at a conductance point.
He warned, “Watch for the one point drop; it can indicate health
problems every bit as important as the big indicator drops.”
High readings with an indicator drop can be caused from
environmental toxins, pesticides, bacteria, viruses, incompatible
fillings, as well as from jaw infections, and these causes must be
considered with each patient. Be a detective! Ask your patient
about other possibilities such as nutritional supplements,
prescriptions, chemicals in their work place, food and water
heated in a microwave; all are possibilities along with the above
interferences.
A dentist must be aware of electro-magnetic frequencies and
stray voltage, real problems to our health. Electrical currents
that come from metal fillings in the teeth make CEDS
