Tooth And Jaw Case Histories
The oral cavity is an important part of a health exam. Two
patients came to me directly from the hospital after being
released with broken jaws that their physician had over looked.
Both patients had to be referred to an oral surgeon who set their
jaws. Hidden jaw infections, as well as fractures of teeth and
jaws are key factors in every health evaluation if a patient is
going to become well.
An important spot in the oral cavity is the ninth space, directly
behind the wisdom tooth. Dr. Voll referred to this ninth space as
a possible health problem to the same organ and tissue systems
affected by the wisdom teeth. Remember Dr. Voll‟s statement:
80 to 90 % of systemic problems are caused or influenced by the
oral cavity.
Case: Jerome, age 79, ninth space
Dr. Stone referred Jerome, a 79 year-old man with heart pain,
to our office. Jerome had all of his wisdom teeth. Remembering
what Dr. Voll said about the ninth space, I followed his advice
and found infection in the upper right space behind his wisdom
tooth with the CEDS and removed the infection. Dr. Stone
checked Jerome eight to ten weeks after healing, and sent me a
report, stating that Jerome was pain free and feeling good. We
