The most compatible composite dental filling material I have
found for small fillings in a low stress area is Holistore. Because
the filling material is not as hard as enamel, the patient‟s fillings
need to be checked every six months to be resurfaced or
replaced when wear is noticed. Holistore is made by Den-Mat.
Holistore has no aluminum oxide, no iron oxide, no barium, and
no fluoride. It is a highly compatible, metal free filling material.
Health is a major criterion for how missing teeth should be
replaced. Important factors for success are the patient‟s home
care with the necessary consistent cleaning habits and good
nutrition. Tooth replacement can be done healthfully in one of
two ways. We will describe each option.
Method number one: By bonding the bridge onto the
abutment teeth (the ones holding up the weight of the bridge),
