The oral cavity, for ideal health, must also be free of infected
teeth and root canals. Pathology in the jaw bones, where teeth
have been extracted or where the wisdom tooth should be does
not always show up on x-ray, however the energy is still there
and can cause poor health. Checking these areas with CEDS is
essential for finding underlying pathology. Read more on this
technique in later chapters.
Some of the problems associated with energy in the oral
cavity are as follows:
1. All metal fillings and all composites that contain aluminum
oxide, fluoride, and iron oxide can be a health burden.
Barium in composites should also be checked with CEDS for
compatibility.
2. Amalgam tattoos (black spots), are small particles of toxic
mercury silver amalgam fillings that have been electrically
drawn into the gum tissue.
3. Metal oxides in composites are an ongoing problem to all
patients.
4. Tooth implants are not energetically acceptable in the oral
cavity, and are the least acceptable way to replace missing
teeth. Partial dentures and bridges are preferable to tooth
implants.
5. In most cases pink denture acrylics contain toxic cadmium
and may not be completely cured, potentially causing allergic
reactions.
6. All metal partial dentures replacing missing teeth will lower
body energy.
7. Any metal that crosses the midline of our body also affects
energy. Example: jewelry, glasses frames, and metal partial
dentures.
