Envision a weed pulled from the ground with its main taproot
and the auxiliary root fibers attached; the nerve in a tooth looks
like this, with tiny branches of nerve fibers coming off the main
nerve. Main nerves you can see on an x-ray but the tiny
branches do not show. Infection can be found any place along
the root. Rotting small nerve fibers that cannot be filled or
lasered produce a poison that will be the start of an infected
tooth.
Dentists can only see and work with the main root canal to
clean out the infection. They cannot see the many small nerves
inside the dentine roots. These “accessory” canals are so thin
they cannot be filled; therefore continuing to promote an
