material or place it on the CEDS plate for checking compatibility.
Only two dental materials are consistently compatible,
Premise Indirect (formally BelleGlass) neutral (no shade) and
Holistore. Holistore is used for bonding and for small fillings.
Both Holistore and Premise Indirect are a pleasing light shade; I
have found most patients are more interested in their health
than in appearances. I am always looking for other compatible
restorative and bonding materials. Check my web site for the
latest materials that may help your patients
Follow this step by step method for finding infection in the
teeth and jaws. Ly2 (conductance point for the upper and lower
jaw) when out of balance one of the following remedies, or
nosodes, are used to balance this point, chronic Kiefer ostitis,
gangrenous pulp, exudative ostitis, zahnsackchen, chronic
bacterial ostitis, or chronic pulpitis. Generally four or more of
the same remedy are needed to balance Ly2. Once Ly2 is
balanced, stimulate on the gum (with an instrument) by pressing
lightly on the jaw area or tooth above or below where you want
to test. CEDS will give a high reading on Ly2 indicating a
problem in the jaw or tooth. Test the teeth without any fillings
to check their vitality with CEDS. Adding the compatible
restorative material by placing it in the HOLD tank or on the
plate will balance Ly2. This method is also used to evaluate the
possibility of different filling materials under a crown. A balance,
when the restorative material remedy is placed in the HOLD
tank, indicates the tooth is healthy; an amalgam under a crown
or inlay will cause an imbalance. Perform a final check of the
tooth after it has been cleared of restorative or temporary
fillings.
The location of cavitations is done in a similar manner by
balancing Ly2 with one of the above mentioned nosodes.
Following the procedure outlined above, stimulate the
edentulous area and then measure Ly2. A balanced reading
indicates healthy bone, a high reading and an indicator drop will
