If a component was provided within 90 days before the Child Health Check-Up and the results were documented, the provider does not
need to repeat the component. An exception should be made if the recipient’s environment or medical condition indicates that the
component should be repeated. Or if, based on medical discretion, a component has not been performed within approximately 90 days,
but within reasonable time based on the recipient’s age and with documentation of medically appropriate rationale, i.e., 2-year old
participants in the Early Intervention Program. AHCA-Medicaid 2003
