5.4 Path Contours – Cartesian Coordinates<br />

Circular path CR with defined radius<br />

The tool moves on a circular path with the radius R.<br />

Input<br />

• Coordinates of the arc end point<br />

• Arc radius R<br />

• Direction of rotation DR<br />

• To program a full circle with CR you must enter two successive CRblocks.<br />

• The distance <strong>from</strong> the starting point to the end point cannot be<br />

larger than the diameter of the circle.<br />

• The maximum permissible radius is 30 m (9.8 ft).<br />

Arc radius R<br />

Starting point S and end point E can be connected<br />

by four different arcs with the same radius.<br />

The arcs differ in their curvatures and lengths.<br />

To program a large semicircle enter the radius R<br />

with a negative sign (R0).<br />
