12.1 General User Parameters<br />

General user parameters are machine parameters which affect the<br />

behavior of the <strong>TNC</strong>. These parameters set such things as:<br />

• Dialog language<br />

• Interface behavior<br />

• Traversing speeds<br />

• Machining sequence<br />

• Effect of the overrides<br />

Selecting the general user parameters<br />

General user parameters are selected with code number 123 in the MOD<br />

functions.<br />

The MOD functions also include machine-specific user parameters.<br />

Parameters for external data transfer<br />

These parameters define control characters for blockwise transfer.<br />

Input values: Number between 0 and 32 382<br />

(ASCII character with 16-bit coding)<br />

Note:<br />

The character defined here for end of program is also valid for the setting<br />

of the standard interface.<br />
