9 Digitizing 3D Surfaces<br />

9.2 Digitizing Range<br />

Input data<br />

<strong>TNC</strong> <strong>360</strong><br />

The digitizing range is defined in cycle 5: RANGE. The model to be<br />

scanned must lie within this range. You also enter the name of the file for<br />

the digitized data as well as a clearance height for pre-positioning the<br />

touch probe.<br />

• PGM NAME<br />

Name of the file in which the digitized data is to be stored<br />

• MIN POINT RANGE<br />

Coordinates of the lowest point in the range to be digitized<br />

• MAX POINT RANGE<br />

Coordinates of the highest point in the range to be digitized<br />

• CLEARANCE HEIGHT<br />

Position in the probe axis at which the probe cannot collide with the<br />

model<br />
