12.6 <strong>TNC</strong> Error Messages<br />

<strong>TNC</strong> <strong>360</strong><br />

The <strong>TNC</strong> automatically generates error messages when it detects such<br />

things as<br />

• Incorrect data input<br />

• Logical errors in the program<br />

• Contour elements that are impossible to machine<br />

• Incorrect use of the touch probe system<br />

An error message containing a program block number was caused by an<br />

error in that block or in the preceding block. To clear a <strong>TNC</strong> error message,<br />

first correct the problem and then press the CE key.<br />

Some of the more frequent <strong>TNC</strong> error messages are explained in the<br />

following list.<br />

<strong>TNC</strong> error messages during programming<br />

ENTRY VALUE INCORRECT<br />

• Enter a correct LBL number.<br />

• Observe the input limits.<br />

EXT. IN-/OUTPUT NOT READY<br />

The external device is not correctly connected.<br />

FURTHER PROGRAM ENTRY IMPOSSIBLE<br />

Erase some old files to make room for new ones.<br />

LABEL NUMBER ALLOCATED<br />

Label numbers can only be assigned once.<br />

JUMP TO LABEL 0 NOT PERMITTED<br />

Do not program CALL LBL 0.<br />
