A.1.2 Pins<br />

There are four groups of functional pins.<br />

A.1.2.1 I/O Pins<br />

VSS 0V Ground pin for 1.8V core supply voltage generated by on chip voltage regulator<br />

VDDX1 1 5.0 V 5V power supply output for I/O drivers generated by on chip voltage regulator<br />

VSSX12 0V Ground pin for I/O drivers<br />

VDDX2 5.0 V 5V power supply output for I/O drivers generated by on chip voltage regulator<br />

VSSX2 0V Ground pin for I/O drivers<br />

VDDA 3 5.0 V External power supply for the analog-to-digital converter and for the reference circuit of the<br />

internal voltage regulator<br />

VSSA 0V Ground pin for VDDA analog supply<br />

LGND 0V Ground pin for LIN physical<br />

LSGND 0V Ground pin for low-side driver<br />

VSUP 12V/18V External power supply for voltage regulator<br />

VSUPHS 12V/18V External power supply for high-side driver<br />

All VDDX pins are internally connected by metal<br />

2 All VSSX pins are internally connected by metal<br />

VDDA, VDDX and VSSA, VSSX are connected by diodes for ESD protection<br />

The I/O pins have a level in the range of 3.13V to 5.5V. This class of pins is comprised of all port I/O pins,<br />

the analog inputs, BKGD and the RESET pins. Some functionality may be disabled.<br />

A.1.2.2 High Voltage Pins<br />

LS[1:0], HS[1:0], PL[3:0], VSENSE have a nominal 12V level.<br />

A.1.2.3 Oscillator<br />

The pins EXTAL, XTAL dedicated to the oscillator have a nominal 1.8V level.<br />

A.1.2.4 TEST<br />

This pin is used for production testing only. The TEST pin must be tied to ground in all applications.<br />
