ACSIP http://acsip.state.ar.us/cgi-bin/index.cgi?rm=report_acsip The Learning Institute will provide interim assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of our math program, assist with vertical and horizontal alignment, and guide our instruction; appropriate professional development on research based strategies and using assessments to drive instruction will be provided as well as allowing teachers and the math instructional facilitator to collaborate. Materials and supplies such as bubble sheets will be purchased. Professional development will be enhanced by the collaboration of trained teachers with newly hired teachers. 2. To determine the degree of effectiveness of the implementation of the math program, formal and informal observations by the math instructional facilitator and principals will be used. As a result of the observations, test data, and questioning of teachers, the areas of weak instruction will be identified. Professional development that targets these specific needs will be provided during math meetings and collaborations. During the current year, data from The Learning Institute (TLI), mClassmath, iReady and Renaissance Learning will be used to determine the effectiveness of instructional strategies. 3. Teachers have developed a deeper understanding of the various instructional strategies for math as evidenced by discussions during collaboration meetings. To clear up these confusions, the math instructional facilitator focused on these areas during after school math meetings and collaboration meetings. In May 2013, data will be included for the current school year using analysis of The Learning Institute (TLI), ITBS, mClassmath, Renaissance Learning, and formal/informal observations. Action Type: Program Evaluation (1-2) TIMELY AND EFFECTIVE REMEDIATION/NEEDS ASSESSMENT: Utilize 8 @ 1.0 FTE highly qualified paraprofessionals to provide individual and small group instruction under the supervision of the classroom teacher to students who exhibit low academic skills to promote proficiency with or without technology. Utilize 1 @1.0 additional FTE highly qualified paraprofessionals under the supervision of the literacy and math instructional facilitators as intensive interventionists to provide focused small group instruction to students who exhibit low academic literacy and math skills to promote proficiency with or without technology. Action Type: Collaboration Action Type: Equity Action Type: Technology Inclusion Action Type: Title I <strong>School</strong>wide (1-2) PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: The staff will be trained as needed in the use of technology which includes Smart Boards, LCD projectors, document cameras, i-Pads, student response systems, airliners, and math software that will be used during instruction in their classrooms to enhance student learning.
