ACSIP http://acsip.state.ar.us/cgi-bin/index.cgi?rm=report_acsip 62 of 83 Action Type: Collaboration EFFICIENCY (5): BPS (1-2) participated in a Scholastic Audit in the Spring of 2011 (Feb. 27-March 4). BPS (Kdgn) participated in a Scholastic Audit in the fall of 2012. BKC, BPS, CES plans are for three years. Action Type: ADE Scholastic Audit Action Type: Parental Engagement EFFICIENCY (3): Teachers, parents, and community members are a part of the ACSIP planning process and meet throughout the year to hear updates on the actions. The Blytheville District Leadership Team held a Peer Review of ACSIP on September 24, 2012. Action Type: Parental Engagement Action Type: Technology Inclusion Gregg Yarbrough, Principal Gregg Yarbrough, Principal EFFICIENCY (4): Policies, procedures and practices Gregg are reviewed prior to and throughout the school year Yarbrough, to determine which could present barriers to all Principal students' achievement. Barriers are identified through actions such as the review of the Student Handbook and referring to "Teaching with Poverty in Mind" and on-going parental involvement professional development. Action Type: Collaboration Action Type: Equity Action Type: Professional Development PROGRAM EVALUATION: (1) To ensure that the Gregg restructuring actions are implemented, the JBHM Yarbrough, consultant and the principals will complete focus Principal walks to monitor the integration of instructional strategies into the lessons. The principals will complete classroom observations and provide feedback to teachers. Data from assessments and observations will be tracked by teachers, principals, JBHM consultants and instructional facilitators. The building administrators and instructional facilitators will also do regular CWT's. Data will be reviewed and appropriate professional development provided as needed. (2) Instructional Focus and Data Team meetings will be held to review the data collected. Classroom focus walks will be conducted and the data monitored to track the implementation of the best practices using instructional strategies. Data walls will be reviewed with appropriate interventions discussed. Regular RTI (Response to Intervention) meetings will be held to analyze data and to insure student success in the classroom. (3) The data was reviewed and updated regularly throughout the school year. Agendas and minutes were maintained from the leadership and collaboration meetings. At the end of the year, all of the data was reviewed and appropriate actions and revisions were planned. Action Type: Collaboration Action Type: Technology Inclusion LEARNING ENVIRONMENT: Blytheville Primary School has contracted with school improvement specialist to provide intensive focused on-going professional development throughout the school year on how to analyze and effectively use data to increase academic performance in literacy and math. The JBHM consultant provides professional development as needed. Actions Teachers will implement Marzano's High Yield Strategies through the use of the literacy Common Core curriculum. The curriculum was developed with the High Yield Strategies at the forefront. Action Type: ADE Scholastic Audit Action Type: Collaboration A certified reading interventionist has been hired at BPS to help identify and remediate struggling learners in the first grade. The interventionist will pull small groups of students for interventions and help direct the teachers in activities to help the learners. Baseline data will be gathered and the growth will be reviewed regularly to direct the interventions.
