Contacting Technical <strong>Support</strong><br />

Overview<br />

For assistance of any kind, contact your Distributor for support. If you do not know where you purchased your<br />

equipment, call <strong>PictureTel</strong> directly and we will assist or direct you to your appropriate Distributor if applicable.<br />

When you call for assistance, please have the following information available:<br />

• The serial number of your software. You can find the serial number on the warranty registration card.<br />

• The <strong>LiveGateway</strong> <strong>Version</strong> number.<br />

• Information about your system’s configuration and network.<br />

• Any system error messages or error codes.<br />

• Symptoms of the problem you are experiencing.<br />

<strong>PictureTel</strong>’s Web page includes information about the <strong>PictureTel</strong> Corporation, products, and user groups, as<br />

well as Customer <strong>Support</strong> information. The Customer <strong>Support</strong> section of the Web site allows customers to<br />

Returning Components<br />

To return <strong>LiveGateway</strong> components:<br />

1. It is important that you RETURN ALL COMPONENTS ACCORDING TO THE DISTRIBUTOR’S<br />

INSTRUCTIONS.<br />

2. If returning components directly to <strong>PictureTel</strong>, you will require a Return Material Authorization (RMA)<br />

number. Contact Customer Service at 1-800-8PICTEL (800-874-2835) to obtain the RMA.
