subord<strong>in</strong>ate clause (<strong>in</strong>side an A-doubl<strong>in</strong>g NP) as <strong>in</strong> (1 02b). A matrix verb <strong>and</strong> an adverbial<br />

(non-A-doubl<strong>in</strong>g) clause are presented <strong>in</strong> (102~). In these examples, a sentential doma<strong>in</strong> is<br />

<strong>in</strong>dicated by bold curly brackets (( ...)).<br />
