Oblique nouns can also be licensed by a locative suffix -ihk which occurs on the noun.<br />

Such nom<strong>in</strong>als can also be licensed when ohci 'fiom' or isi 'towards' occur not as<br />

postpositions, but as preverbs with<strong>in</strong> the verb phrase. These preverbs occur after a<br />

conjunct prefix <strong>and</strong>/or past marker kî- (if used) <strong>and</strong> person prefixes, but before the verb<br />

stem. The role of the NP rema<strong>in</strong>s the same as if the preverb were a postposition. Some<br />

examples are provided <strong>in</strong> (33).<br />
