TOWN WARRANT<br />

To <strong>the</strong> inhabitants <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Hampton</strong>, in <strong>the</strong> County <strong>of</strong><br />

Rockingham, and State <strong>of</strong> <strong>New</strong> <strong>Hampshire</strong>, qualified to vote in town affairs:<br />

You are hereby notified to meet at eight-thirty o'clock in <strong>the</strong> forenoon<br />

in <strong>the</strong> auditorium at Winnacunnet High School on Saturday, January 30, 1999<br />

for <strong>the</strong> first session <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Annual</strong> <strong>Town</strong> Meeting for <strong>the</strong> transaction <strong>of</strong> all<br />

business o<strong>the</strong>r than voting by <strong>of</strong>ficial ballot.<br />

In accordance with <strong>the</strong> action in Article 14 in <strong>the</strong> 1996 <strong>Town</strong> Warrant<br />

(pursuant to RSA 40:13) <strong>the</strong> second session <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Annual</strong> <strong>Town</strong> Meeting to<br />

elect <strong>of</strong>ficers by <strong>of</strong>ficial ballot, to vote on questions required by law to be<br />

inserted on said <strong>of</strong>ficial ballot, shall be held on Tuesday, March 9, 1999 at seven<br />

o'clock in <strong>the</strong> forenoon at <strong>the</strong> Marston School, Marston Way. The polls will not<br />

close before eight o'clock in <strong>the</strong> evening.<br />

ARTICLE 1<br />

To choose by non-partisan ballot: Two (2) Selectmen for Three Years;<br />

One (1) Treasurer for Three Years; One (1) Trustee <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Trust Funds for Three<br />

Years; Two (2) Library Trustees for Three Years; Two (2) Planning Board<br />

Members for Three Years; Four (4) Budget Committee Members for Three<br />

Years; One (1) Budget Committee Member for One Year; One (1) Cemetery<br />

Trustee for Three Years; Two (2)<br />

Three Years.<br />

Zoning Board <strong>of</strong> Adjustment Members for<br />

ARTICLE 2<br />

Are you in favor <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> adoption <strong>of</strong> Amendment No. 1<br />

to amend Article<br />

I, Section 1.6, Definitions as proposed by <strong>the</strong> Planning Board to read as follows:<br />

Kennel: "Any premises, except where accessory to an agricultural use or a<br />

veterinarian hospital, where five or more dogs, ten weeks in age or older are<br />

bred, raised, trained or kept."<br />

ARTICLE 3<br />

Are you in favor <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> adoption <strong>of</strong> Amendment No. 2 as proposed by<br />

<strong>the</strong> Planning Board to renumber Articles as follows: Renumber Article XVI<br />

Amendments to XVII; Renumber Article XVII Violations to XVIII; and<br />

ARTICLE XVIII Validity to XIX.<br />
