Shall <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Hampton</strong> vote to raise and appropriate <strong>the</strong> sum <strong>of</strong><br />

$64,315 to fund <strong>the</strong> cost items relating to <strong>the</strong> <strong>Hampton</strong> Police Association<br />

salaries and benefits for 1998.<br />

Such sum representing <strong>the</strong> additional salaries and<br />

benefits contained in a collective bargaining agreement between <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>Hampton</strong> by its Board <strong>of</strong> Selectmen and <strong>the</strong> <strong>Hampton</strong> Police Association,<br />

pursuant to <strong>New</strong> <strong>Hampshire</strong> RSA 273-A.<br />

NOTE: <strong>the</strong> above agreement is for <strong>the</strong> years 1997, 1998 and 1999. The<br />

additional amounts necessary to fund <strong>the</strong> cost items for <strong>the</strong> following years are:<br />

1997: $27,845 to cover retroactive salaries and benefits.<br />

1998: $36,470 over <strong>the</strong> amount for <strong>the</strong> year 1997 for salaries and benefits.<br />

1999: $45,099 over <strong>the</strong> amounts for <strong>the</strong> year 1997 & 1998 for salaries and<br />

benefits. Recommended by <strong>the</strong> Board <strong>of</strong> Selectmen. Recommended by <strong>the</strong><br />

Budget Committee.<br />
