Hearing no fur<strong>the</strong>r discussion Moderator Walker stated this article will<br />

go on <strong>the</strong> ballot as written.<br />

A motion to restrict reconsideration<br />

was <strong>of</strong>fered by Bonnie Searle and<br />

seconded by Brian Warburton. The motion passed and it was declared that<br />

Article 29 would have no fur<strong>the</strong>r consideration at today's meeting.<br />

ARTICLE 30<br />

On petition <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Hampton</strong> Cemetery Trustees: Charlotte Preston,<br />

Mat<strong>the</strong>w Shaw and Brian Lacey, and 25 registered voters to see if <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> will<br />

vote to raise and appropriate <strong>the</strong> sum <strong>of</strong> $16,500 to fund improvements on land<br />

owned and cleared by <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Hampton</strong> at <strong>the</strong> High Street Cemetery. This<br />

will establish 320+ individual grave lots by paving additional roadways.<br />

Revenues derived from <strong>the</strong> sale <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>se cemetery lots is held in <strong>the</strong> Cemetery<br />

Burial Trust Fund, <strong>the</strong> interest from which will be withdrawn annually and<br />

deposited into <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong>'s General Fund as an <strong>of</strong>fset to <strong>the</strong> amount appropriated<br />

for <strong>the</strong> maintenance <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> cemeteries. Recommended by <strong>the</strong> Board <strong>of</strong><br />

Selectmen. Recommended by <strong>the</strong> Budget Committee<br />

Seconded by Brian Warburton<br />

<strong>Hampton</strong> Cemetery Trustee Mat<strong>the</strong>w Shaw spoke on <strong>the</strong> need to<br />

improve and increase <strong>the</strong> cemetery by adding a road to open additional grave<br />

lots.<br />

There being no fur<strong>the</strong>r discussion Moderator Walker declared that<br />

Article 30 be put on <strong>the</strong> ballot as written.<br />

Frederick Rice moved to restrict reconsideration on Article 30.<br />

Seconded by James Tierney. The motion passed. The article is now restricted to<br />

fur<strong>the</strong>r consideration.<br />
