ARTICLE 36<br />

To see if <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Hampton</strong> will authorize <strong>the</strong> Board <strong>of</strong> Selectmen<br />

to enter into a lease agreement for <strong>the</strong> purpose <strong>of</strong> leasing four police vehicles<br />

and one animal control vehicle.<br />

Seconded by Frederick Rice<br />

Selectman Warburton spoke on <strong>the</strong> article and James Barrington, <strong>Town</strong><br />

Manager, explained <strong>the</strong> terms <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> lease.<br />

As <strong>the</strong>re were no questions Moderator Walker declared that Article 36<br />

would be put on <strong>the</strong> ballot as written.<br />

At 3:10 <strong>the</strong> Moderator recessed <strong>the</strong> meeting and reconvened at 3:20.<br />

ARTICLE 37<br />

To see if <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> will vote to appropriate only <strong>the</strong> sum <strong>of</strong> $18,275 to<br />

be deposited in <strong>the</strong> Cemetery Burial Trust Fund, <strong>the</strong> interest from which will be<br />

withdrawn annually and deposited into <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong>'s General Fund as an <strong>of</strong>fset to<br />

<strong>the</strong> amount appropriated for <strong>the</strong> maintenance <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> cemeteries. This<br />

appropriation will not effect <strong>the</strong> 1998 tax rate. Recommended by <strong>the</strong> Board <strong>of</strong><br />

Selectmen. Recommended by <strong>the</strong> Budget Committee.<br />

ARTICLE 38<br />

To see if <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> will vote to withdraw <strong>the</strong> sum <strong>of</strong> $15,500 from <strong>the</strong><br />

MIS Capital Reserve Fund already established by <strong>Town</strong> Meeting in 1997 for <strong>the</strong><br />

purpose <strong>of</strong> connecting all department buildings on <strong>the</strong> same wide area computer<br />

network. This article will not effect <strong>the</strong> 1998 tax rate.<br />

Recommended by <strong>the</strong> Board <strong>of</strong> Selectmen. Recommended by <strong>the</strong> Budget<br />

Committee.<br />
