ARTICLE 15<br />

In <strong>the</strong> event that Article 14 passes: To see if <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> will vote to raise<br />

and appropriate <strong>the</strong> amount <strong>of</strong> $120,000 to be used for <strong>the</strong> following: $100,000<br />

to install an elevator, and $20,000 to install a fire sprinkler system in <strong>the</strong><br />

building at 90 and 100 Winnacunnet Road (formerly Citizen's Bank) to meet<br />

ADA requirements and building and life safety codes and to make <strong>the</strong> necessary<br />

modifications to <strong>the</strong> building so that <strong>the</strong> basement area can be occupied as soon<br />

as possible. This is a portion <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> $397,000 referenced in Article 14 that will<br />

be needed for final relocation and modification costs. Recommended by <strong>the</strong><br />

Board <strong>of</strong>Selectmen. Recommended by <strong>the</strong> Budget Committee.<br />

Selectman Rice introduced Article 15 and explained <strong>the</strong> safety<br />

requirements and stated that this was a necessary first step in using <strong>the</strong> building.<br />

It was explained that a floor plan was available for viewing and that it was not<br />

necessarily a final plan but an indication that <strong>the</strong> existing <strong>of</strong>fices would fit in <strong>the</strong><br />

building.<br />

John Skumin moved <strong>the</strong> question.<br />

Seconded by John Payzant. There<br />

were no objection to ending discussion and Moderator Walker stated Article 15<br />

would go on <strong>the</strong> ballot as written.<br />

Gerald McConnell moved to restrict reconsideration on Articles 14 and<br />

15. Seconded by Richard Bateman. The motion passed and <strong>the</strong> articles were<br />

restricted to fur<strong>the</strong>r reconsideration.<br />

To see if <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> will vote to establish a Capital Reserve Fund under<br />

<strong>the</strong> provisions <strong>of</strong> RSA 35:1 for <strong>the</strong> maintenance and/or re-construction <strong>of</strong> streets<br />

and raise and appropriate $350,000 to go into that fund; use <strong>of</strong> said funds to be<br />

approved by majority vote <strong>of</strong> <strong>Town</strong> Meeting.<br />

Recommended by <strong>the</strong> Board <strong>of</strong> Selectmen.<br />
