4.3 Modules<br />

Important: For the option Device-Settings > Configuration Data Flag ><br />

Configuration from Master and if in the <strong>net</strong>work project the <strong>PROFIBUS</strong><br />

<strong>DP</strong> <strong>Slave</strong> <strong>DTM</strong> is dropped to the root busline (Stand-Alone <strong>Slave</strong>), the<br />

<strong>Slave</strong> device uses the configuration, which the Master device sends via<br />

<strong>PROFIBUS</strong> to the <strong>Slave</strong> device and the configuration step: „Configure<br />

<strong>Slave</strong> Modules“ can be used for the default configuration or is to be<br />

omitted.<br />

At the pane Modules modules can be selected or assigned and configured.<br />

There are two kinds of <strong>Slave</strong>s. A simple <strong>Slave</strong> has a fixed data length. The<br />

data length of a modular <strong>Slave</strong> is configurable. The selection list Available<br />

Modules shows all possible modules of the <strong>Slave</strong>.<br />

• Module Configuration of a simple <strong>Slave</strong><br />

In the case of a simple <strong>Slave</strong>, one module is shown and it is copied<br />

automatically into the list Configured Modules.<br />

• Module Configuration of a modular <strong>Slave</strong><br />

In case of a modular <strong>Slave</strong>, the user has to select the required modules<br />

manually.<br />
