6 Diagnosis<br />
6.1 Overview Diagnosis<br />
The dialog Diagnosis serves to diagnose the device behavior and<br />
communication errors. For diagnosis the device must reside in online state.<br />
The Extended Diagnosis helps to find communication and configuration<br />
errors, when default diagnosis fails.<br />
For further information to the Extended Diagnosis refer to section<br />
Overview Extended Diagnosis on page 77.<br />

Note: Accessing the Diagnosis panes of the <strong>PROFIBUS</strong> <strong>DP</strong> <strong>Slave</strong> <strong>DTM</strong><br />
requires an online connection from the <strong>PROFIBUS</strong> <strong>DP</strong> <strong>Slave</strong> <strong>DTM</strong> to the<br />
<strong>PROFIBUS</strong> <strong>DP</strong> <strong>Slave</strong> device.<br />
