Statements are built from simple atomic sentences:<br />

(t (rock west 65)) (“it is true at time t that there is a rock 65<br />

meters west”), (NOT (t (empty gasT ank))) (“it is not true<br />

at time t that the gas tank is empty”).<br />

Mental conditions take the form (B a fact) (“the agent a<br />

believes the fact”) or ((OBL I,a ) action) (“the agent I is<br />

committed to agent a to perform action”), or<br />

action t (“the agent I has the capability to perform<br />

action at time t”).<br />
