A slight generalisation of partition models leads<br />

to modal logic.<br />

How can one look at a partition? It is like a set of<br />

equivalence classes: for agent i, all worlds in<br />

one partition are equivalent. They are all<br />

possible scenarios.<br />

So let’s generalise and introduce a binary<br />

relation R on all worlds: w 1 Rw 2 meaning that<br />

world w 2 can be accessed (is reachable) from<br />

world w 1 .
