Example 3.10 (Fighters and Bombers)<br />

Consider fighter pilots in WW II. A good strategy to attack<br />

bombers is to swoop down from the sun: Hun-in-the-sun<br />

strategy. But the bomber pilots can put on their<br />

sunglasses and stare into the sun to watch the fighters. So<br />

another strategy is to attack them from below Ezak-Imak<br />

strategy: if they are not spotted, it is fine, if they are, it is<br />

fatal for them (they are much slower when climbing). The<br />

table contains the survival probabilities of the fighter<br />

pilot.<br />
