9. Agents based on FOL 5. (Concurrent-) MetaTeM<br />

Concurrent METATEM is a programming<br />

language for DAI based on FML<br />

([concMTM14, concMTM13, concMTM16]).<br />

A Concurrent METATEM system contains a number of<br />

concurrently executing agents which are able to<br />

communicate through message passing.<br />

Each agent executes a first-order temporal logic<br />

specification of its desired behavior.<br />

Each agent has two main components:<br />

an interface which defines how the agent may<br />

interact with its environment (i.e., other agents);<br />

a computational engine, defining how the agent<br />

may act.
