and with <strong>the</strong> Kal<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>grad oblast to <strong>the</strong> Cont<strong>in</strong>ental Region.<br />
MAR: These habitat types are <strong>in</strong> this case assessed for <strong>the</strong> entire <strong>Baltic</strong> <strong>Sea</strong> area, because <strong>the</strong>y were not as<br />
clearly def<strong>in</strong>ed as <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r habitats and <strong>the</strong>refore were subject to a scientific reservation by <strong>the</strong> Habitats<br />
Committee of <strong>the</strong> EU. Meanwhile new def<strong>in</strong>itions exist (European Commission 2007).<br />
