of the Governor-General mayor may not be an<br />

equally able man, but if his criticisms are at<br />

variance with the means adopted, he is more or<br />

less likely to be in the wrong. Again, in the<br />

case under consideration, the Anglo-Indian press<br />

is a body of considerable ability, wielding the<br />
