Jacquin‘s 1760 publication represents a prodromus for his larger illustrated work. The illustration <strong>of</strong> Pectis<br />

punctata from the latter publication is selected here as the lectotype.‘ This is unacceptable, since the only<br />

original material mentioned by Jacquin was the illustration in Plumier‘s work.<br />
