Probably flowering sporadically throughout the year.
Robinson (2006: 214) separated Wullfia baccata var. discoidea (syn. W. scandens DC.) as the eradiate headed
taxon found in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. Pruski (1996) had previously recognized this as Tilesia baccata
var. discoidea (S. F. Blake) Pruski
