Note: Robinson (1999: 97) queried V. leonensis Cabrera and suggested its synonymy with V. remotiflora.<br />

Cabrera & Dematteis (2009) provided a narrower view <strong>of</strong> V. remotiflora, separating out V. setososquamosa<br />

Hieron. (restricted to Argentina, Bolivia and Paraguay).
