‗Type‘. There is also another specimen, ex herb. Benthamianum, labelled ‗Buenos Ayres Tweedie 1837‘
which may well be a duplicate of the collection mentioned above. A further sheet, ex herb. Hookerianum,
is labelled ‗Senecio ..../in Marshes of La Plata Tweedie’, although this specimen stands out since its leaves
are apparently simple but actually have two small lobes near the base; it is annoted by Baker as
‗brasiliensis var.‘ in pencil on the sheet.

the material in LP; isolectotype: SI.
