Brief Description of Project and Relevance to this Contract (include scope, size, and cost) General Engineering Services: Tetra Tech has provided professional engineering services to the City of Hollywood for over seven years. . Professional services provided include preliminary design, preparation of final design and construction documents, permitting, bidding, and engineering services during construction, including construction inspection and administration. Projects delivered include multiple disciplines of engineering including water and wastewater engineering. Services include surveying, geotechnical engineering, design and preparation of contract documents, permitting, bidding, and construction phase services. Project Highlights • Conversion of five wet pit/dry pit pump stations to submersible type pump station • Project Value – 1,665,000 • The following disciplines are covered under this project: - Wastewater - Finance/Capital Planning Design The conversion of pump stations A4, N1, N7, and W20 provided design, permitting and construction administration services for the conversion of five wet pit / dry pit pump stations in the City of Hollywood to submersible pump stations ranging in size from 0.5 MGD to 2.5 MGD. Construction permits were obtained for the improvements to each pump station from the Broward County Department of Planning and Environmental Protection. Upgrades were completed at stations A-4 on N 64th Avenue, N-1 on 4080 N. Hills Drive, N-5 on N. 34th Avenue, N-7 on Green Street and W-20 on N 50th Avenue. At each location, upgrades included new submersible pumps, electric services, control panels and level sensors. Special project considerations included limitations on noise levels within residential areas and lift station by-pass procedures to ensure continuous operation at each existing pump station. Tetra Tech performed weekly project site visits during the 15 month construction period to verify that the work was proceeding in accordance with the design documents The water main replacement project from Hollywood Boulevard to Johnson Street between N. 46 Avenue and N. 52 Avenue consists of the replacement of approximately 26,000 feet of 4-inch, 6-inch, 8-inch, and 12-inch existing water mains along local City streets and paved alleys sharing the right-of-way with other existing utilities such as power, telephone, cable, gas and force main. These improvements involve upgrading 2-inch, 4-inch, and 6-inch water mains one nominal size and replacing 8-inch and 12-inch water mains with the same nominal size. The existing water mains will be replaced new with PVC water mains, isolation valves, fire hydrants, and water services. 2 P 25. Professional services provided include master planning, preliminary design, preparation of final design and construction documents, permitting, bidding, and engineering services during construction, including construction inspection and administration. Projects delivered include multiple disciplines of engineering including water resources, environmental permitting, transportation and others. Some recently completed key projects include the Stormwater Master Plan Update and various drainage improvements. Other services provided to the Village include bid advertising, public involvement, ordinance reviews, GIS implementation, and surveying.
