SAFETY CELL
The Department of Safety has undertaken the following activities during the financial year 2006-07.
1. Safety Awareness Programme :
a) Workshop/Safety Awareness programmes were conducted with the help of Site Authority among
the field level Work Force (Both Departmental & Contractors’) are given in Annex-C.
b) Safety Awareness against electrical Accident through Display in Local Cable T.V. Network was
also been shown for General Public.
2. Distribution of Safety Awareness Posters and Hand Books :
Safety Hand Books have been distributed among technical people and Safety Posters on public
awareness and awareness among Technical Workers also been distributed from this end for display at
conspicuous places through different Divisions of Distribution/Transmission.
3. Safety Committee :
To keep safety environment and to follow the safety rules, Safety committees were formed in Divisional,
Zone and Apex level. It is expected that such meetings were to be held in every month, every alternative
month and every quarter respectively for Divisional, Zone and Corporate level. Though this schedule
could not be followed on regular basis.
4. a) Summary of accidents for Current Year (2006-20007) :
Summary of accidents for the current year (April ‘06 to March ‘07) and for last three years are
given in Annex-A.
b) Details of Incident of Accidents & Accident Victims for the Current Year (April ‘06 to March ‘07)
are given in Annex-A1.
5. Cause Analysis :
a) Summary of Accident Victims, Cause Wise, for the current year (April ‘06 to March ‘07) and for
last three years are given in Annex-B.
b) Details of Cause Analysis for Incident of Accidents and No. of Accident Victims are given in
Annex-B1 to B4.
