Praxair India Pvt. Ltd., having demand 7.5 MVA, M/s Exide Industries Ltd. (Traction Unit), having demand<br />

7.5 MVA, M/s Emami Biotech Pvt. Ltd. having demand 1.5 MVA are few <strong>of</strong> prospective bulk consumers,<br />

setting up <strong>the</strong>ir projects.<br />

In Murshidabad, M/s Gujarat Ambuja Cement Ltd. applied for 8 MVA Load.<br />

In Howrah, M/s Gujarat Ambuja Cement Ltd. applied for 15 MVA.<br />

Domjur 220 KV Sub-station and Uluberia 132 KV Sub-station are already in operation, to improve <strong>power</strong><br />

system in Howrah area <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> WBSEDCL and WBSETCL so that <strong>power</strong> supply at proper voltage with<br />

less interruption may be catered to entrepreneurs. Proposed Kanksa 132 KV Sub-station at Kanksa, Dt.-<br />

Burdwan is under progress to cater quality <strong>power</strong> in that area.<br />

Erection <strong>of</strong> new 400 KV Sub-station at Guptamoni - coming up for quality <strong>power</strong> supply to prospective<br />

big entrepreneurs in Kharagpur/Midnapur areas.<br />

Erection <strong>of</strong> new 400 KV Sub-station at Jagatballavpur, Howrah - to cater quality <strong>power</strong> to <strong>the</strong> upcoming<br />

proposed industries at Howrah and adjacent area under Hooghly.<br />

Erection <strong>of</strong> Singur 220/132/33 KV Sub-station from which <strong>power</strong> supply at 220 KV will be catered to<br />

M/s Tata Motors, for <strong>the</strong>ir proposed Automobile Project at Singur Dt.-Hooghly, with ultimate demand <strong>of</strong><br />

40 MVA.<br />

Power supply to Tata Motors for <strong>the</strong>ir proposed Car Assembly Plant at Kharagpur, Dt.-Midnapur - nearly<br />

5MW can be catered through a dedicated 33 KV feeder from Midnapur 220/132/33 KV Sub-station.<br />

Power supply will be catered to Kolkata West International City (KWIC), - a joint venture <strong>of</strong> West Bengal<br />

Government and Salim & Ciputra Group <strong>of</strong> Indonesia, at Howrah.<br />

In addition, a few prestigious projects are coming up at Howrah, named M/s Mahabharat Motors Pvt.<br />

Ltd., at Uluberia, having demand 27 MVA and SEZ Infrastructure Developers Ltd., at Bagnan having<br />

demand <strong>of</strong> 40 MVA.<br />
