• DTR Metering Project
Distribution Transformer Metering Project was started in 2005 for installation of 3 phase 4 wire CT
operated static meters (0.5 class). Till date, 18000 Meters out of 26500 no (68%) have been installed
covering 6 no Dist. Circles and 10 no Dist. Towns. After installation and commissioning of the meters,
facility and downloaded in the computer for further analysis.
• GIS Project
Digital mapping, documentation of Power Network and identification of consumer in respect of feeding
arrangement can be achieved through Geographical Information System (GIS). Power Network
documentation shall comprise digitization of HT & LT Network. Electrical attributes of all the network
elements shall be embedded in the software so that same can be viewed from the GIS map. Provisions
are there to add, modify and remove the attributes also. Consumers connected with the network can be
identified with pole no. DTR no etc.
GIS is in operational at 45 nos. Electric Supplies and action has been taken to cover all the Gr. Electric
suppliesof WBSEB within next financial year.
GIS can facilitate revenue monitoring, energy accounting and asset management along with load flow
study.
