Major Transmission Works :<br />

West Bengal Transmission System Project<br />

CP&ED prepared detailed design & engineering for Lines & Sub-stations <strong>of</strong> different voltage grade<br />

from 66 KV and above along with associated lines<br />

CP&ED arranged <strong>the</strong> joint inspection/testing <strong>of</strong> materials and equipment<br />

Vetted and approved <strong>the</strong> drawings <strong>of</strong> foundation and structure Land utilization Plan and Plan and<br />

Elevation <strong>of</strong> Switchyard layout etc.<br />

14 nos. <strong>of</strong> lines and 31 nos. <strong>of</strong> Sub-stations (<strong>of</strong> different voltage levels) including New Haldia 220/<br />

132 KV Sub-station under JBIC (Lot-I to Lot-IV) project, have been completed. Lo-I and Lot-II for<br />

transmission lines have already been closed. Field activity <strong>of</strong> Lot-III and IV for Sub-stations has<br />

been completed in totality. Efforts are being made for short closure <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> said Project.<br />

works have been done by CP&ED<br />

from 66 KV & above along with associated lines<br />

Following new Sub-stations were commissioned during 2006-07 :<br />

Krishnanagar 220/132 KV (2×160 MVA Tr. capacity) on 27.03.07<br />

Coochbehar 132/33 KV (2×20 MVA Tr. capacity) on 20.07.06<br />
