CLOUD, FLA.—As an added attraction during the summer Bill Kowal, manager of the Cloud Theatre, is putting on an amateur show. Just how often this will be, whether nightly, seminightly or weekly, will be determined by the amount of available talent. New Screen for Liberty CARNEGIE, OKLA.—Installation of a new Cycloramic screen has completed improvements at the Liberty Theatre here. The house is owned and operated by Clint Applewhite and H. D. Cox. VARIETY REWARD GIVKN—Hardy Cluck of Belton, Tex., left, is shown above sliaking hands with John Rowley, chief barker of Variety Tent 17, when he received a lifetime gold membership card for his work on the Boys ranch project when it was located at Copperas Cove, Tex. The ceremony took place at a barbecue and dedication service for the new Boys ranch in Bedford, Tex. More than 400 barkers and their guests were entertained by 60 boys. The new 5500,000 ranch, midway between Dallas and Fort Worth, was financed largely by Tent 17's annual Turtle derbies.
