Check List for Fire
Extinguishers
The Fire Protection Institute reminds
exhibitors that fire extinguishing equipment,
like all good machinery, requires
attention and care from time to time.
Suggestions which particularly apply to
theatres are the following:
1. Give employes a chance to handle
fire extinguishing equipment in
accordance with specified directions.
2. Refurbish the painted areas on
walls where extinguishers are hung.
3. Discuss and demonstrate what
should be done in the event of
fire in various parts of the theatre.
4. Take inventory of all possible hazards
to determine if adequate fire
protection equipment will be available
in an emergency.
5. Encourage employes to check their
home fire protection equipment.
