6.7 CORELESS TYPE INDUCTION FURNACE<br />

It is also called high frequency induction furnace. It consists of refrac<strong>to</strong>ry crucible placed<br />

centrally inside a water cooled copper coil. Fig. 6.7 represent the construction <strong>and</strong> working<br />

of this type of furnace.<br />

6.8 AIR FURNACE<br />

This furnace is also known as puddling or reverbra<strong>to</strong>ry furnace. It is used for making<br />

wrought iron. Fig 6.8 shows the construction of this type of furnace.
