Without a doubt, each <strong>wife</strong> indicated that she enjoyed her role as <strong>the</strong><br />
<strong>wife</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> pastor. Wives enjoyed <strong>the</strong>ir roles for various reasons, mainly a)<br />
being made aware <strong>of</strong> God’s work in <strong>the</strong> lives <strong>of</strong> believers and new Christians,<br />
and b) being proud <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir husbands and knowing <strong>the</strong>y are fulfilling <strong>the</strong> call <strong>of</strong><br />
God on <strong>the</strong>ir lives. Most <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> wives enjoy being involved in <strong>the</strong> church in<br />
some way without being expected to attend all functions or participate in all<br />

ministry. A few wives indicated that <strong>the</strong>y believed <strong>the</strong>ir role as <strong>the</strong> pastor’s<br />
<strong>wife</strong> was a calling, not necessarily just acceptance <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir situation in life but<br />
a ministry opportunity set apart for <strong>the</strong>m to do.<br />
