T OU S U E V K I B G W D P H F A Q At the edge of the village of Studor on an elevation that offers a beautiful view of the Bohinj region and the surrounding hills stands the Pri Andreju tourist farm. The farmhouse and the 200-year-old but beautifully preserved kozolec (hayrack) are built in the characteristic Bohinj style. There is always plenty of milk, milk products, eggs, vegetables, and guests can prepare their own meals in the apartment or visit a restaurant in the surrounding area. It is only two kilometers from the farm to Lake Bohinj, which warms up enough in summer to provide pleasant swimming. The area around the lake and the village of Studor is made for mountain hikes and bicycling tours. In winter, it is only seven kilometers to the groomed ski trails of the Kobla ski center and a kilometer farther to the Vogel ski center, while Bohinjska Bistrica, only seven kilometers away, offers a vast network of cross-country ski trails. Throughout the year, Bohinjska Bistrica’s Waterpark is open, where along with swimming pools in a very beautiful setting, sauna, fitness, massage, and other wellness facilities are also available. open to guests: 1. 1. - 31. 12. T U O N G T S U E V C K I L B G W D R “Frčejeve,” the Zupan farm, is not hard to find in the village since it stands right opposite the Church of Sv. Jurij, while the new building with apartments and rooms is about one hundred meters away in the middle of a beautifully arranged farmyard with a large parking area. The old house contains an old farm room furnished with items from the 18th century. The hosts offer their guest all types of meat and dried meat products, minced lard, milk and dairy products—a specialty is their fruit milk shake—and for breakfast, fired eggs with homemade cracklings are the best. Guests enjoy exploring the Bled and Bohinj regions: in summer they swim in Lake Bled or Lake Bohinj, hike around Pokljuka and other peaks, and bicycle, while in winter they ski and skate on an indoor rink, and there is a sled run behind the house. open to guests: 1. 1. - 31. 12. T G O S E C U V J R I K G H M B W P Q You will find the Tavčar farm in Spodnje Gorje, one of the last villages at the foot of Mt Triglav. Its excellent location near the road leading to Pokljuka and just 3 km away from Lake Bled makes it an ideal destination for all those who wish to explore that part of Slovenian countryside. The farm, whose hostess still bakes delicious treats based on traditional recipes, offers accommodation in nicely furnished apartments. There is a well-equipped children's playground with a sand pit and a swing for their youngest guests. Since the Tavčars' youngest son is a big cat lover, the farm cats will love the company of children. If you want to explore the farm surroundings, you can borrow a bike from the hosts. One of the interesting excursion spots is the Pokljuka plateau, which in winter offers many cross-country ski trails. In summer you can combine your walk with a swim in Lake Bled, which is a 30 minute walk from the farm. The surrounding area is filled with exceptional natural attractions and scenic spots that can be visited on foot, by bike or by car. The peaks of the Julian Alps, the picturesque Vintgar gorge, the Radovna valley, Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj are just a small part of the many attractions of this part of Slovenia. open to guests: 1. 1. - 31. 12. T U E G O T SU F A V N C K I R J H B L W P Q With its centuries-old tradition, the Repečnik farm is one of the oldest farms in Gorje; its main activity today is dairy farming. Wishing to present the beauty of country life to their guests, in 1993 the owners started receiving tourists in their wonderful Alpine-style house, boasting a portal stone dating from 1894, larch wood door and tuff window frames. The farm is situated on the outskirts of the old part of the village, near the main road connecting Bled and Pokljuka. It offers wonderful views of the Karavanke mountain range and nearby mountains, which hide a local gem, the picturesque Vintgar gorge. You can also see Bled castle and Mt. Triglav, Slovenia's highest peak. The owners keep cows, a riding horse, a dog, cats and chickens on the farm. Their guests can enjoy daily fresh milk and eggs, home grown vegetables, meat, dairy products and jams. Guests of the farm can enjoy bike rides in Bled and surrounding villages, the Radovna valley as well as across the Mežakla and Pokljuka plateau. Lake Bled is only some 1.5 km away, and it will take you five minutes by car to reach the center of the town of Bled and fifteen minutes to arrive to Pokljuka. The guests can also relax in nature surrounding the farm and enjoy snow sports and activities in winter. The farm has a big yard suitable for children's games and relaxing on the grass.

The hostess spoils her guests with excellent dishes made from her grandmother’s recipes. All the food is organically grown on the farm. Her daughter, a ski instructor and tourist guide, loves to help with advice on excursions, with her son you can go to the mountains, and children will enjoy helping grandfather with his farm chores and feeding the animals. On the farm you can also rent bicycles, a canoe, and cross-country and downhill skiing equipment. After mountaineering or skiing they have a Finnish sauna for additional relaxation, and a play area for children is arranged in the yard. T U E R G O S U E V C K J I R B G W D P H F A M Q L Only seven hundred meters from Lake Bled, one of Slovenia’s most beautiful natural gems, the Mulej Tourist Farm occupies a large sunny piece of land with a beautiful view and a fishpond near the village of Selo pri Bledu. If you enjoy low-fat foods and originally prepared dishes with lots of vegetables, then a visit to the Mulej Tourist Farm is the right choice. Your hosts will gladly invite you to join them doing the farm chores, which you can combine with new knowledge acquired during a tour of the local farm tools museum and the collection of old coins displayed on the farm. For those who like leafing through old books, your hosts boast a catechism printed in 1814. If you follow the saying “a healthy mind in a healthy body,” you will be pleased to know that you can explore the area from the saddle on one of our horses or rent a bicycle, and along with air-conditioned rooms you will find a pond and natural pool for swimming. T U O S E V C K I J L R B G W Q Three generations of the Soklič family look after guests in the house which still has the traditional heating stove in the family room and a black kitchen where meals were prepared over an open fire. The family's four children will tell the youngest guests many interesting things about the farm animals.Guests can choose accommodation with breakfast or half board. The food, of course, is homemade, and since they raise cattle, goats, and pigs, there is no lack of various meats and meat products along with milk and dairy products, eggs, vegetables, and homemade juices and brandies. The house specialties include all sorts of štruklji and various other pastries. Several nearby villages can be reached on foot or by bicycle, and local sights include the island and castle at Lake Bled, the Vintgar gorge, the Pokljuka plateau, the cave under Babji zob. The main summer activities in the Bled-Bohinj area include mountaineering and water and air sports (canyoning, kajaking, paragliding, etc.). In winter you can ski on nearby Mount Vogel and Mount Kobla, and weather and snow permitting, there's also skiing at the Straža slope in Bled along with skating on the frozen lake. open to guests: 1. 1. - 31. 12. O T S U E C N K J I B G W P H M Q Pr'Grom, an open farm with modern facilities for tourists, lies in the village of Hraše, with a wonderful view of the Julian Alps and the Karavanke range, and just three kilometres from Bled – the jewel in the crown of Slovenian tourism. The farm offers you the chance to sample the specialities of the Gorenjska region, including cured meat products, pot barley, Gorenjska-style roast, savoury strudel, buckwheat porridge and much more besides. Vegetarian dishes are also available. A range of homemade herbal teas, brandies and liqueurs provide an excellent complement to a meal, or you can sample wines from award-winning Slovenian winemakers in the pleasant atmosphere of the wine cellar. Families with children will find plenty to do on the farm, which also offers a children's playground. The farm is a good starting-point for visits to Bled, Lesce, Bohinj, Begunje and Radovljica. If you love mountains, you can combine a visit to the farm with a climb of one of the peaks of the Julian Alps or the Karavanke range. Or perhaps you would enjoy a panoramic flight from the nearby airfield in Lesce. For relaxation you can visit the sauna and whirlpool bath, or simply enjoy a rest on the terrace or in the garden. 13
