T G O E V C J S U F I T R G O M Q The excursion and winegrowing Lovrec farm is situated in Jiršovci. The house with its thatched roof, which won an award in 2009 for preserving cultural heritage in the countryside, is surrounded by vineyards and offers a great view of the surrounding area including parts of Austria, Hungary and Croatia. In the kitchen the hostess continues the culinary tradition of the region. Guests will love her Styrian sour soup, pork roast, salad with minced lard, gibanica, apple strudel, cold cuts with meat from the tünka (lard barrel)… Guests will also enjoy excellent wines offered on the farm since there are 45,000 grape vines on the farm that are cultivated with great care and respect, producing 15 different varieties of wine (9 whites, 6 reds). You can also taste some of the homemade liqueurs and enjoy a glass or two of homemade brandy. Children will enjoy the company of the farm's cat and Reks the dog, or they can join their parents and go for a ride in an old-fashioned hay wagon. The hosts can also organize guided tours of the nearby places of interest and help you to get to know them better. They will thus take you on a scenic tour of Destrnik, a tour of the vinedresser's cottage and General Maister's memorial room as well as St. Urban's church, and you can also climb to the top of Maister's tower with them. open to guests: 1. 1. - 31. 12. T E R G T A K I G O H M Q Are you fed up of all the noise and polluted air in the big city? If your answer is yes, this is the place for you and your family. You will find the Rajšp apartment house in the heart of the Slovenske gorice region, where the sun rises early. On a quiet location surrounded by fields and near a forest there is a house with three well-equipped apartments whose names reflect their position: the Sunrise, the Sunset and the Sun. You can stay in the apartments, prepare your own meals and spend your holiday or getaway in peace and without stress. On the farm, which is just a short stroll away, you can stock up on fresh farm products (milk, bread, oil, eggs, jam...). If you wish, you can also have a look at different farm work. The surrounding area is suitable for leisurely strolls, Nordic walking, cycling, fishing and other activities. You can relax in the nearby thermal spas, and in winter you can visit the ski slopes at Mariborsko Pohorje. Next to the apartment house you will find a renovated old wooden house with a bread oven, a terrace and a room for socializing, which is particularly useful if you decide to spend your holiday together with a group of friends. Next to the house there is also a well, typical of the region, from which you can draw water yourself, especially during the warmer months, for drinking or for freshening up on a hot summer morning. open to guests: 1. 1. - 31. 12. G L O M Q T E V R G L W M Q The Roškar family farm, located in the village of Lastomerci, lies surrounded by vineyards in the very heart of the famous Radgona winemaking district, where the Roškars also own vineyards of their own. The owners of the farm, which was one of the first tourist farms in the region, are proud of the excellent wines they produce. They also proudly continue the rich local culinary heritage, so that their guests can enjoy delicious meals all year round. They will thus offer their guests different soups (bograč, sour soup…), meat dishes (roast chicken, different roasts, deer meat specialties…), various side dishes (groats, potatoes…), cold dishes (sandwiches…), rich desserts (gibanica, kvasenica, postržjača, ocvirkovica…), that each in its own right and all together create a truly rich harmony of flavours. The Roškars have their own deer farm in the immediate vicinity, which always attracts both young and somewhat older visitors. They will be happy to receive families with children who have at their disposal a playground and a big soccer field. The farm is an excellent starting point for walks in nature and for visiting local thermal resorts in Radenci, Mala Nedelja… You can also head to the nearby hills and the cellars of Radgonske gorice or visit the castle in Negova. open to guests: 1. 1. - 31. 12. T E G O M Q T E V C K J I R G O M Q The family are particularly proud of their cooking and still prepare food according to grandmother's recipes. One of their specialities is walnut kvasenica bread, while the sour soup, braised cabbage and many other dishes are also excellent. Even vegetarians will be spoilt. Every good meal deserves to be accompanied by a drop of good wine – which you can also enjoy at home, since wine, home-made bread and minced lard are available to buy on the farm. Families with children are well catered for on the farm. The farmer will be happy to take you to his wine cellar, where he will organise a wine-tasting for you. You can take part in grape-harvesting and learn how grapes were harvested in "the olden days". You can set out on foot, by bicycle or by car to visit Gornja Radgona, Negova and other destinations, peep into neighbouring Austria and discover many more of Prekmurje's natural and cultural sights during your stay on the farm.

T V K G O Q E J I R W D P H M Q The hundred-year-old Ferencovi Farm stands by the man-made Lake Ledava in the Prekmurje region. The Ferencovi family are famous for their crêpe paper flowers. Groups can book demonstrations of braiding with plant fibres and thatching with straw. The farm also has a museum of agricultural machinery and implements. And great cooking. You can try crackling cake, posolanka (pastry spread with sour cream), various dishes made using corn flour, and of course the famous prekmurska gibanica layer cake, for which the Ferences hold a certificate and have won several medals. They also make various fruit aperitifs and jams and wine from their own vineyard. The interesting landscape of Prekmurje and the rich cultural heritage offer plenty of opportunities for excursions, and the lake is ideal for water sports. You can visit mineral water springs, the largest castle in Slovenia, the triple border marker, a forest nature trail or one of many walking trails. On warm summer's nights you can sleep in the hayloft beneath a thatched roof. The farm has two tennis courts and bicycles are available for hire. T G L Q E K J I R G L C Q The farm is located in the northernmost part of Slovenia, in the village of Rogašovci, in a land of gently rolling hills and murmuring brooks, with lush forests, meadows, gardens, fields and vineyards. The hostess, who is also a trained cook, always makes sure that guests leave the farm satisfied. The food offered on the farm is based on traditional local cuisine and so guests can enjoy some typical dishes of the region. A large emphasis is given to dishes containing shiitake and oyster mushrooms that are grown on the farm. Dishes are accompanied by chosen wines produced by winemakers from the surrounding area. You can enjoy wine tasting in the impressive setting of a traditional underground wine cellar with vaulted ceiling. In the village of Rogašovci you must visit St. George's church, and in the nearby village of Ocinje there is a 300-year old wooden church tower. At the top of the Sotinski breg or Kugla, as it is also called (418 m), there is a viewing tower, and on the Serdiški (Rdeči) breg (416 m) there is a tourist hut. In the tiny village of Pertoči you will find St. Helen's church with Stations of the Cross made from clay by Swiss artist W. Kogler and altar mosaics by Marko Rupnik. T U N G O T U M Q R E G You will find this organic farm, which is renowned as the home of outstanding beekeepers, beside the Goričko Wine Road in the Three-Country Landscape Park at a quiet and secluded spot on a hill overlooking the village. Your hosts will introduce you to the secrets of beekeeper’s cuisine with a honey breakfast and charm you every day anew with their sincerity and hospitality. When you leave the farm, you can fill your luggage with all sorts of honey items. You can devote a day on the farm to learning secrets from the family’s rich beekeeping tradition. Your hosts will happily open their beehives and show you the life of the bees inside and invite you to try various honey delicacies. During your visit you will encounter the sheep Maja and Kasandra, rabbits, birds of various species in the bird park . . . Everyone who loves peace and quiet will especially enjoy the farm, while those who like to spend their days exploring can visit Gornja Radgona, Radenci, Moravce, Graz (Austria), and Szentgotthard/Monošter (Hungary) and tour the interesting surroundings. T S E J B G Q The village of Otovci isn't particularly big, but its houses are distinguished by typical rural architecture. On the Grah excursion farm you will be offered pork, beef and chicken dishes, different cold cuts, buckwheat soup with porcini mushrooms, pork roast with vegetables, different vegetables and side dishes, as well as delicious desserts such as pujčekove glave, retaši and the famous Prekmurje layer cake (prekmurska gibanica) for which the farm has the certificate of guaranteed traditional specialty and two gold medals. You can also try some traditional pork and sausage specialties with bujta repa (sour turnip hot pot). For special occasions your hosts can prepare lunch and dinner upon previous arrangement, also on weekdays. The region of Goričko is full of interesting sights, such as the magnificent castle in Grad (the biggest castle in Slovenia). A wine and tourist road and some bike trails pass by the farm. A meeting point of three countries (Hungary, Austria, Slovenia) is nearby, and the thermal resort of Moravske Toplice is 23 km away. 41
