The Pačnik farm, which deals with cattle breeding and forestry, is situated in
the small and peaceful village of Resnik. The Pačniks offer their guests dried
meat and dairy products and meat and vegetable dishes and say their specialties
are meals prepared in the traditional open oven. They also serve their guests
homemade juices and apple cider. All their food is grown at home almost one
thousand meters above sea level. There are many possibilities for walks. The
most beautiful are to the nearby lake, to the waterfall, or to the castle where along
the way guests can pick wild strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and medicinal
herbs. Ten kilometers away at the Zreče Thermal Spa there are swimming pools
and saunas to enjoy, and seven kilometers away at Rogla, there are ski slopes.
The hosts also organise one-day excursions for their guests.

The Gričnik family farm is situated in the Pohorje mountain range, six kilometers
from Rogla, a popular resort year-round and a well-known ski resort in winter, and
also six kilometers away from Terme Zreče, a modern thermal resort. The position
of the farm makes it ideal for daily visitors as well as for those who wish to spend
a few days exploring the Pohorje region or Rogla. The farm will delight you with
its excellent culinary offer that also includes, among everyday dishes, traditional
Pohorje specialties such as pohorski lonec (Pohorje hotpot) or Pohorje omelette.
The Gričnik family also prepares meals in accordance with the season, which means
that the food offer is rich, varied and suitable for vegetarians as well. The hosts are
also known as producers of delicious strawberries, which are included in their daily
menus in most imaginative ways and which can be bought on the farm as well. The
farm is an excellent starting point for exploring not only the Pohorje mountains and
the nearby Zreče, but also interesting towns such as Slovenske Konjice, Žiče with its
fascinating monastery, Vitanje and many more beautiful places you will discover in
this part of Slovenia.

The tranquility of the green Pohorje mountains, a healthy and clean environment,
the hospitality and kindness of Pohorje people—all this and more is waiting
for you at the Ramšak Tourist Farm. Hike around Pohorje in summer, ski on
Rogla in the winter, and swim at the Zreče Thermal Spa throughout the year.
If you ask your hosts what is special about their culinary offer, they will answer
without having to think twice: organically grown food. As on all the surrounding
farms, the Ramšaks’ plates are loaded with the most various delicacies: meat,
vegetables, dried meat and dairy produce, and their wonderful strawberry jam.

If you are a lover of genuine farm food, then visit the Jager farm where they will surprise
even the most demanding guests with their excellent homemade meals. The farm of
this family of five is situated on a low hill with a beautiful view over the surrounding
countryside beside the road from Dramlje to the Žiče Carthusian monastery. There is
enough room here for an entire busload of people. The hostess Urška and her daughter
Natalija will pamper you with delicacies, while landlord Stane and the grandfather will
tell you something about farm work and local traditions and show you the wine cellar
in their vineyard cottage. In the glasshouse you will be in contact with nature in late
autumn and early spring as well. It's an ideal place to relax when it's cold outside, since the
sun warms the glasshouse to a pleasant temperature and you feel as if you were sitting
outside. The village where the Jagers live is an excellent starting point for a visit to the
Žiče Carthusian monastery, which is situated only two kilometers from the birthplace
of Saint Anton Martin Slomšek in Ponikva, or the house of the Ipavec brothers and the
Rifnik archeological site in Šentjur. If you want a good skiing, you can visit the Rogla ski
resort, and you can swim and relax at the Rogaška Slatina, Laško, or Zreče thermal spas.
